Located just moments from Brisbane’s CBD, The Ambrose heralds Milton’s metamorphosis with a 20 level residential development by Kokoda Property. The inner city locale was founded on humble farming origins and the legacies of home grown heroes, from XXXX beer to the State of Origin.

Inspired by Milton’s rich past and rebellious spirit, Claire Skinner embarked on a quest to uncover its secrets, with her research leading to the original pioneer of Milton – Ambrose Eldridge. An ambitious visionary, Ambrose embodies the tenacious spirit of Milton, Kokoda Property and Cottee Parker’s bold architecture. Claire named the development in honour of Ambrose – a man of entrepreneurial heart, generosity and fortitude.

With the wonderful assistance of The Queensland Women’s Historic Association, Claire tracked down Ambrose Eldridge’s great grandson Trevor Parminter, and his family, who continue to call Brisbane home. Trevor provided a wealth of information on his ‘go-getter’ great grandfather, helping piece together Ambrose’s colourful past as high profile businessman, respected townsman and experimental cotton farmer, whose humble Milton Farm became the Milton we know today.

Sharing the story of Milton’s founding pioneer, Claire created a brand grounded with warmth and authenticity, interpreted with quintessential Queensland laid-back charm. Collaborating with Render House Studios to create an iconic relaxed and refined aesthetic, Claire shot on location in Brisbane with Andy Vukosav and Hamish MacGregor capturing a suite of stills and motion.

Small details pay homage to Ambrose throughout the narrative, from styling touches in the renders to the stitched brochure binding referencing Ambrose’s cotton farming from long ago.

Honouring Ambrose’s multifaceted influence on the fabric of Milton, Claire celebrates his legacy with the creation of The Ambrose brand, proudly carrying it into the future for Milton’s new generation of rebels.
